Celebrity and lifestyle show All Access Mzansi has trimmed down and undergone a radical face-lift in a bid to stay fresh and relevant.

Now back for it’s eighth season, it’s goodbye to old hands Bridget Masinga, Jason Greer and Pabi Moloi. While DStv’s favourite son ProVerb remains, he is joined by reality TV star Dineo Ranaka and newcomer Nandi Mngoma.

In a statement, Mzansi Magic called the new trio “a perfect mix of seasoned and fresh talent”.

The pay-TV provider’s special-interest channel director, Yolisa Pahle, said: “We were looking for presenters who know what it’s like to be in the spotlight themselves and are able to bring that to the inserts and interviews they do, in a relaxed and informal fashion.”

The show’s formula will be slightly tweaked to appeal to a less formal viewership. There will be less studio time and fewer evening dresses, and a more relaxed street and club feel.

An excited Mngoma said: “I’m absolutely elated to be part of such an amazing show, mostly because it is coming back bigger and better. This season is for everyone from the suburbs to ekasi.

ProVerb, who is also an Idols SA presenter and rapper, said the new-look show would be “more accessible and interactive”.

This will be in the form of the All Access crew not only attending celebrity parties, but pitching up at a viewer’s bash too to make it “fabulously trendy”, according to the statement.

All Access Mzansi season eight kicks off on June 20 at 7.30pm on Mzansi Magic.
