Anene Booysen: Fresh evidence points to other killers

2014-04-13 10:27

Police in Bredasdorp allegedly refused to talk to an eyewitness in the Anene Booysen rape and murder case because they said she was a “drunkard”.

The eyewitness claims she saw 17-year-old Anene with four men at the building site where she was killed last February.

When she approached the police with her story, she says, they chased her away.

She has now given her statement to two private detectives hired by Johannes Kana’s family.

Kana is serving two life terms in a Bloemfontein prison after Swellendam circuit court Judge Patricia Goliath ruled late last year that he had raped and disembowelled Anene, and left her to die.
