Baby Jake eyes reality show

2011-04-30 17:35

Baby Jake is back – healthy, happy and in negotiations to host a boxing reality show.

The former boxing champ was laid low by pneumonia last year but has recovered nicely.

However, while several roleplayers in the sport organised a fundraising event to help pay Baby Jake’s medical bills, he is not pleased with the result.

He has instructed attorneys to talk to the organisers of the fundraiser because he feels they paid him too little.

“They made half-a-million from the function, where they used my name, but they have only paid my medical bills and won’t give me the rest of the money,” he said.

“It’s unfair.”

The diminutive boxer is also talking to the SABC about a boxing programme.

“I have made a presentation to them about successful boxers going back into their communities to help up-and-coming youngsters,” he said.
