At Benni McCarthy’s wedding reception?–?at Scotland’s finest stately home last weekend?–?each dinner table was named after a different manager or club he played for in his illustrious career.

Table names included Orlando Pirates, FC Porto, José Mourinho, Seven Stars and many more.

Bafana legend McCarthy (36), from Hanover Park on the Cape Flats, wed Scottish model Stacey Munro (30). He wore a kilt, accompanied by calf-high socks and diamond studs in his ears.

Munro is the mother of his fourth child, one-year-old Lima Rosa.

After dinner, guests were escorted outside Hopetoun House on the outskirts of Edinburgh where they were treated to fireworks ignited to the beat of McCarthy’s song, Shibobo, his hit 1998 FifaWorldCup collaboration with local kwaito group TKZee.

“The spectacular wedding had everything from fireworks to all-night dancing,” said his agent Rob Moore, the founder of former sports and lifestyle print company Touchline.

“They performed a traditional ‘tying the knot’ ceremony, where the flags of South Africa and Scotland were tied together to represent their lasting love,” said Moore.
