Boer Viking in Babylon

2010-10-31 12:59

The most interesting character arrested with other rightwingers at a farm in Mpumalanga early this month is a Hägar the Horrible look-alike who calls himself the Boer Viking.

Günther Jurgen Kotze (32) became something of a cult figure on YouTube when he posted a video demonstrating his sword and pike manufacturing skills.

He not only wants to go to war for a Boerstaat with ancient weapons, he also added a new word for blacks to the racist lexicon?– “zombies”.

His video shows that he does not like hairdressers, water, soap or smiling.

His homemade sword is not an elegant Excalibur.

It resembles the kind of artefact purchased in a toy shop.

The Viking recently moved to Willem Ratte’s farm at Balmoral after declaring himself fed-up with “Babylon” (the new South Africa).

During the raid police confiscated dagga, an unlicensed R4 rifle, two hunting rifles, front loaders and ammunition. The Viking’s sword was not on the list of confiscated arms and ammunition.

After discovering that his movements in custody were mysteriously being updated on his Facebook profile, police searched his cell and confiscated a cellphone.

Kotze would not take City Press’s calls.
