The Jozi Book Fair will take place from September 26 to 27, and promises a great programme stuffed with conversations with authors, book launches, workshops, seminars, a mini film festival and round-table discussions.

This year’s guest is highly acclaimed novelist, poet and playwright Zakes Mda, who will be part of a range of activities throughout the fair.

Authors Zukiswa Wanner and Pumla Gqola form part of a panel discussing the topic ANC Women’s League: Sex, Gender and Politics.

Poet and spoken word artist Maakomele Manaka will contribute to the fair’s programme with a spoken word workshop, as well as part of his exhibition called Children of Asazi: An exhibition with my father.

Also not to be missed is Bongani Madondo in a conversation about his book I’m Not Your Weekend Special, a biography about Brenda Fassie.
