Brace for a home-grown Idols show tonight

2011-08-13 16:52

The mood in the Idols house last week was sad after Nolly Meje (24) was sent home to Cape Town.

But the remaining nine contestants soon got down to rehearsals for tonight’s contest, which will feature South African songs.

Idols spokesperson Ingrid Engelbrecht said the theme for tonight was “Homebrew”.

The following songs will be sung by the top nine:
» Crushanda Forbes: Garth Taylor’s Why;
» Dave van Vuuren: Blue Eyes by the Springbok Nude Girls;
» Dené Vorster: Afrikaans by Flash Republic/Foto na Dans;
» Erin Fourie: Fine Again by Saron Gas;
» Freddie van Dango: Against All Odds by aKing;
» Kelly Fortuin: I’d Like by Freshlyground;
» Mark Haze: Shallow Waters by Just Jinjer;
» Phaksy Mngomezulu: I Want You by Loyiso;
» Leefa Pike: Too Late for Mama by Brenda Fassie.
