CD Review – Oasis:Time Flies... 1994-2009 (Sony)

2010-10-01 13:30

This one is for all of you who were emo-ridden, Doc Martin-wearing, dreadlocked, quasi-hippies in the 1990s.

Super-band Oasis may have acrimoniously broken up last year – brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are not even on speaking terms – but their magic lives on in this release of their hits from 1994 until 2009.

Gems such as Wonderwall, Supersonic, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Don’t Look Back in Anger are sure to evoke nostalgia.

After all, they were The Beatles of the 1990s.

They lived the rock ’n roll lifestyle to the fullest and I would have given anything to see them on stage in all their drunken-genius glory. 8/10 – Babalwa Shota
