That’s the message unveiled this week by the cash-strapped mother

of octuplets, Nadya Suleman, otherwise known as the Octomom.

She received $5 000 from animal rights organisation Peta, or People

for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, to put a sign in her garden bearing the

sizeable brood, which includes the octuplets and their six older siblings.

“I love animals, and I do believe they should be spayed or

neutered,” Suleman said at the unveiling ceremony on Wednesday. “Humans, of

course, are much different.”

Suleman was widely criticised after giving birth to the octuplets

in January 2009 after it emerged that she was a single unemployed mother living

on public assistance.
