Celebrity tots of 2012

2011-12-23 11:54

Next year will be a paparazzi frenzy in the US as celebrities introduce their tots to the world.

And here at home, we will have our own celebrity toddlers to gush and fawn over.

Leading the pack of 2012’s soon-to-be yummy mummies is multi-award winning musician Beyoncé Knowles (30).

She and music mogul husband Jay-Z already have the most talked- about foetus in the world, so the baby’s arrival will no doubt spark a worldwide media fever and they will undoubtedly be most popular parents of the year.

Busty singer-turned-fashion designer Jessica Simpson (31) has also been the talk of Tinseltown with gossip blogs and tabloids even discussing her eating habits.

“This week it’s peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted,” Simpson told TV show host Rachael Ray last week. “And then, I’ll put some salt on my hand like I’m taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich.”

Yes, her cravings made news.

Another eagerly-awaited birth is that of actress Jennifer Garner (39) and movie star husband Ben Affleck.

They already have two daughters and speculation is that they are now expecting a son.

Oscar-nominated actress Maggie Gyllenhaal (34) also revealed in November that she is expecting her second child, just like reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian (32).

On local shores, SuperSport presenter Mpho Maboi (31) recently revealed that she and football star boyfriend, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, are expecting their first child.

Also about to become first-time mummies are former wild child Pam Andrews (27) and Afro-pop singer Siphokazi Maraqana (34).

Malaika lead vocalist Tshedi Mholo, singer Zonke Dikana (28)

and former Miss South Africa Joan Ramagoshi (32) are each preparing nurseries for their second child.

With the numbers about to rise, the recently reached seven billion population mark will soon be passed.
