The festival is definitely the best place to get your “kicks”

during the World Cup.

International ventriloquist Paul Zerdin will be in action,

with puppets that’ve been called “sharp-tongued, ­malicious little


On the local stand-up scene, check out the Live & Kicking comedy nights, or watch SA’s whackiest wisecrackers.

David Newton will be there, as will Stuart Taylor, Mark Sampson,

Siv Ngesi, Ben Voss, Matthew Ribnick and Bevan Cullinan who is famous for the

Gary the Tooth Fairy commercials.

The Most Amazing Show’s Rob van Vuuren and

Louw Venter, who make up the trailer-trash twosome Corné and Twakkie, return.
