Cornelius Bosch murder trial postponed

2011-05-30 08:56

The trial of six men accused of murdering well-known artist Cornelius Bosch was postponed until August 12 by the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court today.

However, Magistrate Bernard Swart warned the prosecution that this would be the last time the case would be postponed for further investigation.

On August 12, the case will be referred to the Pretoria Regional Court of the High Court in Pretoria.

During a previous appearance, prosecutor Hanna Conradie told the court that the evidence against the six men was circumstantial.

Schabir Mohammed, Abraham Rabie, Delgado Swartz, Llewellyn Lottering and Lee Maggie are out on bail of R2 000 each.

Christoffel Potgieter is out on bail of R10 000.

Bosch was reported missing from his Kameeldrift home on February 24.

His charred remains were later found in the veld about 8km away.

He was identified from dental records.
