DStv goes mobile

DStv has introduced a streaming mobile TV service on Vodafone live!.

Subscribers will be able to view 11 channels and on-demand video clips.

According to Mark Rayner, DStv Mobile’s general manager: “The cellphone is fast becoming a central platform for media consumption and the new DStv Mobile service gives Vodacom customers the freedom to access their favourite DStv content anywhere, any time.”

Content includes Big Brother Africa All Stars, as well as Idols footage.

Other channels include SuperSport Live Events channel and SuperSport Blitz, while on the music front Channel O and Trace TV will also be on the platform.

Kids can enjoy their favourite stars on Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Additional channels include Africa Magic, international current affairs channel CNNi, SawSee, a movie trailer channel for the latest Hollywood blockbusters, and E! Entertainment.

The package costs R19 a week or R59 per month.
