The South African leg of the Red Bull Doodle Art competition concluded this week, and Vaal University’s Kingsley Chere Palime was named the 2014 winner.

We agree with the choice. Palime’s crazy doodle was one of our hot favourites.

He trumped 20 local finalists with his Loxion Boys doodle.

It’s fresh, cheeky, busy and very South African. His winning piece of art will now represent South Africa in the Doodle Art Global Gallery alongside (so far) 14 other winners.

They will all meet in Cape Town, where a worldwide winner will be selected on October 27 2014.
