Fan confronts Beckham in England dressing room

2010-06-19 07:53

England has complained to Fifa that one of its fans got into the

team dressing room after the 0-0 draw with Algeria and had angry words with

David Beckham.

Many of the 25 000 England fans in Cape Town’s Green Point Stadium

booed the players off the field after last night’s poor performance, which left

the team in danger of being eliminated in the group stage.

The English Football Association (FA) said it had complained that

one fan managed to get through security and into the dressing room.

The FA said it would put the complaint to Fifa in writing.

Although Beckham is not fit to be in the squad, he has been

travelling with the team.
