2014-01-01 14:06

Five people have been arrested after a shooting in Munsieville, Krugersdorp, in which seven people were wounded.

Gauteng police's Lt-Col Katlego Mogale said a group of people entered a store and became disruptive yesterday.

The owner called his friend and there was an altercation. One of the wounded was a six-year-old child, Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.

One of two critically wounded people was airlifted to a Johannesburg hospital. The others were taken to various hospitals in the area.

Mogale said a firearm was recovered and a case of attempted murder was opened.
