TV presenter Lerato Kganyago and V Entertainment presenter Cyprian Ndlovu are set to be unveiled as the new faces of’s Club808 this week.

The duo will make their first appearance on March 6, City Press has learnt. They are replacing Moeti Tsiki, better known as DJ Mo Flava, and actress Nonhle Thema. The show is also getting a new time slot – from 6pm to 8pm on Friday nights.

This week, the channel would only confirm Thema’s exit and said it was “in the process” of finding new presenters forClub808.

“We are eternally grateful for what Nonhle brought to our screens on Club808. We would like to thank her for bringing her expertise to,” said Monde Twala, MD of’s channels division.

Thema tweeted the news: “Hey guys I have gud n bad news. 1st I’m also leaving @Club808 as the show is taking a new and much younger direction 16-20 year olds target.

“The show as of March will be moving to a 6pm time slot to attract the 16-year-old market. I’m 33 so it makes no sense to still host [the] show.

“The good news is that I’m working on my own show which will allow me to be mature and have engaging content suitable for my target market,” her tweets read.

Tsiki announced his departure earlier this month on his Yfm show, The Freeway.

Two impeccable sources told City Press that Kganyago would no longer be presenting SABC1’s lifestyle show The Link. “There was no way [she] was going to join while she still has a contract with the SABC,” the sources said.

Kganyago and Ndlovu did not respond to phone calls and text messages from City Press.

One of the sources, who has close links to the show, said the pair was “excited” to be joining Club808.

“They’ll make great co-hosts. Kganyago is mature, while Ndlovu will appeal to the young market,” the source said.
