ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa is now also deputy president of the country.

This follows the announcement of President Jacob Zuma’s Cabinet in Pretoria tonight.

Among the ministers who kept their portfolios are Angie Motshekga (basic education), Blade Nzimande (higher education), Fikile Mbalula (sport and recreation) and Aaron Motsoaledi (health).

Portfolio changes include former police minister Nathi Mthethwa, who has been moved to arts and culture, and Pravin Gordhan, who has moved from treasury to cooperative governance and traditional affairs.

As expected, Nhlanhla Nene is the new minister of finance.

Former national police commissioner Bheki Cele is now a deputy minister.
