Glam goddess crowned

2012-07-21 13:21

Say what you like about Live presenter Bonang Matheba, but she’s certainly one of the hardest-working women in the entertainment business.

On Thursday night on the 20th floor of the Green Park building in the heart of Sandton, Joburg, one of the many brands Matheba endorses, Brutal Fruit, held the finals of their Goddess of Glam campaign which had been running for the past few months.

Upon entrance, guests were given cute little black fascinators to pair with the all-black theme.

The only spots of colour were Matheba’s orange and gold GJC gown, the finalists and a gold bandage dress on a model who introduced the beverage’s newest flavour.

With her own glam squad made up of fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee and celeb make-up artist Nthato Mashishi, the presenter/DJ/model/designer/entrepreneur introduced the top six finalists.

Ole Morapedi, Ayushie Rajkumar, Tiisetso Tycee-Titi, Mikella Efstratiou and Anette Haughton watched as a green-clad Tamzin Elliott took the top spot.

According to the judging panel, they were looking for a confident and fashion-conscious social media fan who “likes things”.

The highlight of the night came when waiters opened the dessert room to reveal a mouth-watering selection of goodies from chocolate pops to strawberries dipped in dark chocolate.

The night continued with guests dancing off the delightful dessert to music provided by Poppy Ntshongwane from 5FM.
