Goodman spray-painter’s case postponed

2012-05-23 09:06

The man who tried to spray paint the word “respect” on a wall of the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg amid the furore over the Brett Murray painting of President Jacob Zuma with his genitals exposed, has appeared at the Hillbrow Magistrates Court and his case was postponed to June 14.

George Moyo was released on R1 000 bail yesterday.

He has now joined Barend la Grange and Louis Mabokela at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court where the two who allegedly defaced Brett Murray’s portrait were due to appear.

However, La Grange and Mabokela’s cases have been referred to the Hillbrow Magistrates Court.

He was accompanied by about a dozen ANC supporters clad in party regalia.
