‘His little body was crushed’

2011-07-21 07:06

A one-year-old boy died and two adults and a three-year-old were injured when a bakkie overturned on the N12 between Delmas and Springs today.

ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said the boy was flung from the Ford Bantam bakkie as it rolled.

“His little body was crushed beneath the vehicle,” she said.

The boy’s uncle, who was driving the bakkie, his aunt and three-year-old cousin were injured in the accident.

They were taken to Life Glynnwood Hospital in Benoni, Jackson said.

The family were travelling towards Johannesburg when the accident happened. No other cars were involved, she said.
