IAAF, Malema are their own worst enemies

2009-08-29 11:08

TO those who started the Caster Semenya gender saga in Berlin, your lack of

timing was wrong and insensitive.

We know that the world athletics body, the IAAF, has its own code of conduct.

For example, we only learn of doping cases when someone has been found guilty of

wrongdoing. However, this same procedure was not applied to Semenya.

But Semenya should know that almost all of us South Africans are supportive

of and sympathise with her.

We are very proud of you as a woman and for winning that gold medal. It

happens sometimes that people try to destroy you not knowing that they are

actually placing you on the map.

To young Julius Malema, your lack of timing and unjust calls are much the

same as those in Berlin.

The idea of questioning the availability of whites was totally wrong and

unjust. Don’t forget that August 25 was not declared a holiday so there is no

way you could have expected to see ?everyone at the airport.

Maybe you can explain to me why the Minister of Sport was not even there. You

are one of those African leaders who still believe in living in the past. Not

all whites are racist and not all Africans live under racism – you are one of

You are constantly questioning the actions of whites. The other day you

questioned the appointment of white people to certain posts, which shows that

you don’t support them getting certain jobs. However, on the 25th you expected

to see them at the airport.

Believe me, you better change before you hang yourself.
