ICC rejects bid to prevent Kenya president’s trial

The Hague – The International Criminal Court has rejected a bid by lawyers for Kenya’s president to halt his trial on charges that he orchestrated deadly violence after his country’s 2007 elections.

Kenya recently failed in a bid to have the UN Security Council delay the case by a year.
