Imagine if Juju was white

2011-07-30 11:46

I wonder why whites, especially young ones, are not investigated in the same way you at City Press investigate Julius Malema.

Malema is being investigated because he spoke about the land issue and the nationalisation of mines.

Land that was cheaply bought by a white man before democracy, for example, is now worth millions, but you don’t investigate that man. You don’t even write about him.

You may say no, but the truth will surface one day about the people whose agenda City Press is pushing.

All I’m saying is that there are young white millionaires and because they are white, nothing is written about them.

Yes, you may ask who are they, do I know them and why don’t I bring them to your attention?

But as a journalist, you should know them.

Please, I’m tired of reading about Malema because he is black and challenges issues that some people who are rich don’t want to talk about.Let your paper be balanced.

Report all news on a fair basis.

I’ve been a City Press reader for years. Just write one story about whites who enriched themselves – just one story.

That’s the challenge I’m putting to you.

Yes, I’m not your editor to tell you what you should and what you shouldn’t write about, but please, please, write just one story about a white or Indian youngster who is a multimillionaire.

I hope I have made my point clear and hope to hear from you.
