Investigation clears City Power in awarding of R1.25bn tender

An independent probe has cleared Johannesburg’s City Power of corruption in the awarding of a R1.25 billion tender for smart electricity meters.

In January, the weekly Mail & Guardian reported that the tender process had been manipulated to favour businessman Vivian Reddy’s Edison Power Group.
