Joburg ready for rugby

2012-06-16 07:48

Roads around Ellis Park Stadium will be closed from 10am today, Johannesburg metro police said.

Traffic would be diverted around Sivewright Avenue, Bertrams and Bezuidenhout streets because of the rugby match between the Springboks and England, Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

Fans coming to the stadium were advised to use park-and-ride facilities at the Cresta, Clearwater, Southgate, East Rand and Menlyn malls.

Roads would be re-opened at 8pm.
