'Jou ma se pawpaw' offensive, broadcasting watchdog finds

2013-12-23 15:21

Cape Town radio station Heart 104.9 FM was reprimanded for a presenter's use of the words "jou ma se pawpaw" [your mother's pawpaw], the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of SA (BCCSA) has said.

"This is not the kind of language one would wish to be heard or used by children. The words have the capacity of being repeated just for the fun."
