Khoza doesn’t deserve unfair publicity

2011-11-19 15:43

I was really disappointed by the Pressing Issues column and what S’busiso Mseleku said on Metro FM.

Let me ask him an honest question: Does he have anything against Irvin Khoza? To me it seems like Mseleko has a serious problem with the old man and I think he needs to get a life, seriously.

The PSL is made up of clubs that are private entities and part of their goal is to grow their companies financially through fierce competition both on and off the field.

With reference to SA players not making it to Premiership or La Liga you need to look at other factors such as what made the national team fails to qualify to play in Angola 2010 and next year’s Afcon finals.

Is it the teams? Or is it just attitude? The PSL being a rich league has made the players to think they have “arrived”.

Imagine a player from the rural areas. Going home in a brand new BMW after going to Jo’burg in a taxi. Appearing on TV every week. These players get overwhelmed by this and make wrong choices which impede them from going further.

Examples are (Katlego) Mphela, (Teko) Modise, (Innocent) Mdledle and others.

Can Bafana Bafana conquer the continent while the players are still found at night clubs during a tournament? No! Many factors affect the performance of a player, not just Irvin Khoza.

You guys just leave Khoza alone and write facts not red bullet points that are just fictitious and malicious. I agree with the saying: Jealousy is a freedom of fools.
