CRIME intelligence officials busted a “very huge” drug factory on a

farm in Brakpan, east of Johannesburg, this morning, the police said.

Two people were arrested, said Senior Superintendent Tummi Golding.

“It is a laboratory that had been established by the Nigerians.

two of them – 21 and 39 years of age.

farm or rented it.

“It is a fully-fledged laboratory, it is a very big one, it is very

huge. It has all the equipment to produce tik (methamphetamine or commonly known

as crystal meth), from the compressors to the processing machines.”

Golding said the police were still weighing the amount of drugs

confiscated, adding that she would be able to give an estimated street value

later today.
