Lawyers for ET accused squelch sex abuse rumours

2010-04-14 09:54

The defence team for the alleged child offender in the Eugene

Terre’Blanche murder case said it was not aware of any relationship between the

15-year-old accused and Terre’Blanche.

Zola Majavu, who represents the 15-year-old boy, said he would not

speculate about his client’s case in the media.

“I have never discussed my

defence for the minor and all along I’ve never told any reporter what it was,”

Majavu said.

“I am not aware of any relationship between him (his client) and

the deceased.”

Various rumours have been doing the rounds in the media since

Terre’Blanche’s death, including claims that his two alleged killers were

sexually abused by him.

Puna Moroko, who represents the other accused, Chris Mahlangu, also

denied that sex played a role in the case.

“It was a man-to-man fight over

money,” Moroko told Beeld. “Politics had nothing to do with this.

The rumours

about the condom and sodomy also had nothing to do with this case.

This was two

guys arguing over money.”
