The bodies of a husband and wife were found in a bakkie on their smallholding just outside Musina, Limpopo police said today.

Johan and Annelise Greyvenstein, aged 54 and 52, were found murdered in their bakkie yesterday morning next to a railway line under a bridge on their smallholding, said Lieutenant Colonel Ronel Otto.

The couple had been missing since Tuesday morning.

Police found the man with a single bullet wound behind the left ear. It was not known how the woman had died.

It was also not clear whether the pair had been murdered.

A farm worker of the couple could be called in for questioning, Otto said.

No arrests have been made.
