Limpopo voting station set alight

2011-05-18 07:21

A Limpopo voting station had to be relocated after a storeroom at a school which was to be used was set alight overnight.

The storeroom at Ngwana Ngwato High School at Makgane Village in Sekhukhune was set alight last night, police spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.

“The cause of the incident is believed to be an internal matter at the school and not election related.”

The voting station was moved to a nearby tribal office.

“The voting process is proceeding smoothly.”

A case of arson was opened.
