Lions team to play Kings

Following their run-away 82-19 win over Tucuman yesterday, the Lions will play the Southern Kings tomorrow in Port Elizabeth, in their last warm up match ahead of the 2011 Super Rugby competition.

John Mitchell, head coach of the Lions, said today that they were ready for the this year’s competition.

“I’m happy where we are in terms of training, preparation and conditioning. We have just one long term injury in Deon van Rensburg who will be out for about six weeks, but aside from that we have no injury worries.”

The team to play the Kings: Marius Delport, Tonderai Chavhanga, Jannie Boshoff, Joubert Engelbrecht, Dusty Noble; Hein Cronje, JP Joubert, Robert Kruger, Michael Rhodes, Jaco Kriel, David Bullbring (c), Johan Snyman, Ross Geldenhuys, Edgar Marutlulle, Wayne Swart. Reserves: Thurston Zimri, Caylib Oosthuizen, Jonathan Mokuena, Renaldo Bothma, Vian van der Watt, Alwyn Hollenbach, Hoffman Maritz, Ruan Dryer, Ruan Venter, Dale Sabbagh.
