Free State Premier Ace Magashule sacked his MEC for Finance, Seiso Mohai, yesterday afternoon.

This comes only days after Mohai delivered the provincial budget in the legislature last week.

Mondli Mvambi, spokesman in Magashule’s office, confirmed he appointed a new MEC for health and had sacked Mohai.

The Director General in the province, Elzabe Rockman, has been appointed in Mohai’s place.

City Press reported yesterday that Dr. Benny Malakoane has been appointed as the MEC for health in the province. This followed after Fezi Ngubentombi died in an accident in December last year.

“The appointments of the new MEC for Health, Dr Malakoane and the new MEC for Finance, Ms. Rockman, are with immediate effect,” said Mvambi.
