Los Angeles - A man accused of hacking into the e-mail accounts of celebrities Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson has agreed to plead guilty to the charges.

Nude photos of the celebrities eventually landed on the Internet.

A plea agreement filed in a Los Angeles federal court today says 35-year-old Christopher Chaney has agreed to plead guilty to nine counts, including wire-tapping and unauthorised access to a computer.

Chaney faces up to 60 years in prison.

He was arrested as part of a year-long investigation of celebrity hacking that authorities dubbed “Operation Hackerazzi”.

Prosecutors say there were more than 50 victims.

A hearing was set for Monday.
