Matric pass rate down

Some 60.7% of matrics passed last year’s exams which is just less

than 2% down from a year before, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga said today.

Motshekga said although the shift was marginal, it was very

disappointing. In 2008, 62.5% of matrics passed.
