Sport and Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula will be among the dignitaries at the Arab Constructors Stadium tomorrow when Orlando Pirates take on Al Ahly in the final of the CAF Champions League.

Mbalula’s spokesperson, Paena Galane, confirmed that the minister would be at the stadium to support the Buccaneers. They are expected in Cairo tomorrow morning.

Mbalula has been behind the South African team throughout their journey in this tournament and his presence should inspire the players.

A fortnight ago, he was there at the OR Tambo International Airport to welcome them back from their triumph in Tunisia and also organised a rousing sendoff.

There will also be about six Pirates supporters in the stands after three landed this morning. The remaining three were expected later in the day.

Kickoff is at 6pm.
