Meet Metro’s DJ Juju

2011-03-26 18:00

DJ Juju for a day – this Wednesday, to be exact.

If you are a Metro FM listener, get ready to be surprised this week when celebs Sophie Ndaba and her Generations co-stars, Zolisa Xaluva and Siphiwe Mtshali, along with axed columnist Kuli Roberts and comedian David Kau, take to the airwaves.

These celebs, and ANC Youth League president Julius Malema, will take over the afternoon drive-time show for a week.

Malema will be co-hosting with Uyanda Mbuli on Wednesday.

On Thursday listeners will be kept titillated by the ever fascinating Khanyi Mbau, who will have the three-hour show all to herself.

On Friday, T’bo Touch takes over as the slot’s new host.

The afternoon drive-time show was previously hosted by Unathi Msengana and Glen Lewis, but the two have clearly found themselves a?winning formula as they are now moving to the highly contested breakfast slot.

Other changes to Metro’s line-up include former Yfm house DJ Oskido, who will now be the regular voice on Saturday evenings from 8pm to 10pm.

The national radio station’s weekday 12pm-3pm slot – which was previously occupied by Leko Ngcobo, who took over from Metro’s problem child Penny Lebyane – is yet to be confirmed.

Speculation is that it might be filled by Amon Mokoena and permanent sidekick to the DJs, Thato Mataboge.

DJ Sbu, who was rumoured to be getting the boot a few weeks ago, is staying put in his Saturday afternoon slot.

Others who will continue with their shows include the popular Sunday slow-jams trio of Eddie Zondi, Wilson B Nkosi and Paul Mtirara.
