The EFF's response to my SABC interview is a pack of lies and fabrication skillfully crafted to tarnish my person and humiliate me instead of addressing the matter I have so pointedly raised.

All these lies because I dared to speak out against an indefensible reactionary position the party I belong to has taken. Its plain wrong to pay, to elect into a position of leadership,  and even pledge to pay in future a convicted murderer. This a straight forward matter, which our party should have simply distanced itself from. Its damaging and goes against all we stand for.

I stand publicly accused of many wrong doings none of which were ever raised with me before I chose to stand on the authority of cardinal pillar 7 which empowers and binds all EFF members to fight for accountability and stand against corruption in all its guises. If I'm guilty of anything, then I'm guilty of standing for an expressed principle of the EFF. We as EFF can't speak left and walk right. We must walk the talk!

Each and every accusation on the response document is bereft of the truth. I don't know anything about the (VW Golf) GTi and how it got to the media, in fact I don't recall it ever being discussed in the War Council or CCT.

I vehemently reject the baseless accusation that I leaked any documents to the media. On the contrary I know for a fact that senior leadership has been systematically leaking party material to the media to tarnish the names of those they consider problematic.

Kenny Kunene is not my friend. He is a friend of the Deputy President of the party Floyd Shivambu and President of the party Julius Malema. Their friendship is well documented. The Deputy President was recently at the sushi party of Kunene. Was he plotting against EFF? What was he doing with the enemy of EFF? It's a sign of absolute dishonestly and desperation that the Patrotic Alliance is being mentioned as if its a rival or a threat to EFF?

Who our party leaders associate with is none of my business. It's a known fact that senior party leaders of EFF are friends with senior leaders of the ANC. We do not make disparaging remarks about such associations with the party that killed workers in Marikana. We correctly respect such friendship as a personal matter. We have to be consistent in applying any expectations of members and leadership. The EFF must say if there are individuals whom party members shouldn't associate with and why.

I strongly dispute the lies that I conducted the interview with the SABC in Sandton and at Kenny Kunene's house. This accusation is malicious and slanderous. I conducted the interview in Brayston at a place that has nothing to do with Kenny Kunene. Why the lies? I'm willing to take anyone to that venue and I have already done so with the Citizen newspaper, which went also to Kunene's house, which is in Sandton. Our leaders must not deliberately mislead members and the public.

The leadership in its scathing response to my SABC interview claims I have deliberately ignored party internal processes. This is not true. Again, just like the lie about Kenny Kunene's house, the party leadership ignored to inform the public that I have engaged the party on the matter including writing a confidential letter to the president. The letter remains not leaked. But in light of this accusation and false claims, I'm left with no option but to release the letter to the public.

The letter contains my strongest objections to paying a convicted murderer. My letter was neither acknowledged nor responded to. Keeping silent when the party has taken such a wrong decision would be contrary to the duty to show revolutionary courage and commitment.  So I spoke out so that the historical record can show that the EFF is not constituted by people without principles.

The tone and nature of the EFF response indicates a sad sickness that stalks the political culture in South Africa. The culture of lies and personal attacks instead of dealing with the matter raised. This is ANC culture, which is calculated to breed fear and ensure silence. It explains why no senior ANC party leader has spoken up against the blatant wrong doing of the ANC with regard to Nkandla. A conspiracy of silence is maintained in the face of wrong doing and the fiction of "internal process" used to justify the gang and thug-like suppression of the truth.

This culture must be changed if we hope to have a new and different politics based on honesty and the truth. The EFF must lead this process and not be too concerned with maintaining false consensus. Let EFF members be the first to criticise the leadership when it takes a wrong turn. We advise and speak out when people we love and care for go astray. We speak because we love the EFF. It's our only home!

The EFF is a new party. It is building a new culture and new experiences. The temptation of our leadership and members to mistake EFF processes with those of parties they formerly come from should be resisted. Anyone who has experience of elective conferences from the ANC must realise that, that is not the experience nor the culture of the EFF. People should not be proud of having ANC experience, it's bad experience and should be abandoned and frowned upon for the new revolutionary experience.

It is true that I voted for the first time ever and for EFF. I'm proud of this. I never voted before because there was no revolutionary party to represent my hopes and fears. The EFF is the only revolutionary party that I trust with my vote. Those who have been voting for the ANC should take responsibility for keeping an anti-black party in power that has been killing blacks long before Marikana. The murder of Andries Tatane was just one in a long list of murders and neglect.

Those who have maintained the ANC in power by voting for it should not be proud but rather question their contribution to maintaining white supremacy, corruption and racism through their support for the ruling party. I believe voting for the EFF for the first time ever is the correct political action. My hands are clean, I never associated with the party that gives our people RDP houses and worse. Neo-liberalism didn't start under the administration of Jacob Zuma. Those who have been in ANC should be apologising not gloating.

I remain a member of the EFF. I subject myself to any disciplinary process the party may choose to undertake. I have no case to answer and if in future there be a situation where the party takes a clearly wrong decision, I shall not hesitate to raise the matter internally and if that fails, I shall speak out. I have no regrets for standing for the principles of the EFF.
