Murdered mum’s death remains mystery

2012-03-07 15:27

The cause of Celesté Fraser-Carson’s death remains a mystery – even after a post mortem was done on her body today.

The decomposed body of Fraser–Carson (28), a mother from Bloemfontein who went missing more than three weeks ago, was found in a shallow grave about 30 kilometres outside the city. She was pregnant at the time of her disappearance.

Harry Nagel, police spokesperson, said that no stabbing or bullet wounds were found on the body. “We have now sent the content of her stomach for a toxicology report to determine the cause of death,” he said.

Fraser-Carson was last seen getting into the car of her lover. He was arrested on Thursday, but escaped from police custody on Friday. The police rearrested him in Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape after a massive manhunt.

The suspect is expected to appear in court tomorrow on charges of murder and escaping from custody.
