Bonolo Modise writes about the concert of a lifetime. Send your

World Cup moments and pictures to

On the road to the biggest music event to hit the African continent

in Soweto there was an exciting atmosphere of unity among locals.

Even though the park-and-drive system did not work out as well as

it could have for the 2010 Fifa World Cup celebration concert, the star-studded

line-up more than made up for it.

Lira, the Black Eyed Peas and Alicia Keys with the Blk Jks were

incredible, not forgetting Angelique Kidjo, John Legend and Vusi

The Parlotones with Push Me To The Floor could never disappoint.

The official song, Waka Waka, performed by Colombia’s Shakira, blew the crowd

out of the arena while Wave The Flag by K’naan stole the show.

It was the best live show I have ever been to and I hope the

artists will return soon. Let’s not only unite behind Bafana Bafana – let’s make

it the best football event ever!
