Los Angeles – Hollywood super-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be getting out of cinematic blockbusters, it emerged today.

In an interview with Australian TV, Pitt revealed that he planned to give up acting in three years to concentrate on producing, while Jolie has reportedly signed up with an agent who specialises in independent movies rather than the big-budget film genre that she currently dominates.

Asked by Australia’s 60 Minutes how much longer he’d like to continue acting onscreen, Pitt sounded certain about his future.

“Three years,” said Pitt, who is 47. “I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. Getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher times otherwise.”

Jolie, meanwhile, has signed with IFA Talent, who also represents Ryan Gosling, among others, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The move to the independent film specialist could be a sign that the global superstar wants to add a best actress Oscar to her resume.

The last dramas she starred in were 2008’s The Changeling and 2007’s A Mighty Heart, the former earning her an Oscar nomination.

Los Angeles – British actor Russell Brand (Arthur) will produce and star in the comedy The President Stole My Girlfriend, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
