Multitalented vocalist Nonkululeko Phiri, who also performs as JungFreud, recently appeared in online magazine C-Heads, where she talks about her creative process, what she’s been drawing from her travels to Zanzibar and New York, who inspires her and her plans for world domination.

When asked what defines her, Phiri replies: “The notion of creative fearlessness – pushing the envelope could be a close enough definition.”

The accompanying shoot captures Nonku’s edgy and sophisticated street style with the help of a bold palette of bright reds, yellows and purples.

A befittingly fresh spread for a fresh talent. Oh, and by the way, she also happens to be legendary musician Ray Phiri’s daughter.
