SHE won Miss Jam Alley in 2002 and Miss Soweto in 2004, and has been a

fixture on the social scene ever since. Her CV includes being a partner in the

FTV (Centurion) franchise and she owns Black Angel, an events management

company. She is also a presenter of Just Music With LKG on Soweto TV (Monday

nights, 9pm) and is the new ambassador of the Kick Racism campaign.

Life is … a rollercoaster. It has its ups and downs. You just have to put on

your seatbelt and be safe and enjoy the ride and the adrenaline rush.

My first job was … a casual at Oxygen clothing store at the East Rand Mall a

while ago while I was in high school.

Right now I am listening to … Lionel Richie’s All Night Long. It reminds me

of friends I had in the past and the ones I have now, and reminds me how good

life is.

My fictional hero is … Lara Croft (as played by Angelina Jolie). I love

Angelina. She is passionate and giving, and has class and sophistication.

My real life hero is … Basetsana Kumalo. I think every Miss Soweto says that

but seriously she is one of the women I have always looked up to. I have partly

followed in her footsteps, being Miss Soweto and becoming a TV presenter and a

My favourite place in South Africa is … Didima in the Drakensberg

My dream car is … the new BMW X5 4.8. I can fit all my family and friends in

The one celebrity’s sex life I envy is … Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I

would like to be a fly on the wall and see what happens between them.

My current celebrity crush is … Pharrell Williams because he is sexily

boyish. I like the way he is ageing and I am obsessed with people with tattoos

but no, I don’t have one.

The talent I would most like to have is … to be psychic, so that I can look

into the future and help people.

The one word I overuse is … checkmate, when I have a deal or put a stamp on

something it means this is my statement and I am sticking with it. Even people

who watch me on TV know that.

Before the end of the day I just have to … go to the gym. I never took my

weight seriously, but I have realised that I need to keep fit so that my heart

is healthy. I am also looking at getting muscles because I want to look like

Kelly Khumalo.

I was SO embarrassed when … I had a conversation with a primary school friend

who I couldn’t remember. It was a very long conversation.

Living the African dream for me would be … waking up in Soweto every morning

and having all these historical sites surrounding me.

If I could change one thing about me it would be … not being too worried

about people that don’t matter in my life.

When I think of 2010 I think of … my vuvuzela, my soccer ball and my Bafana

Bafana jersey.

The best day of the week for me is … Monday when I am recording my TV show. I

get to relate with people and interact with them. They can see the other side of

me as I present a platform for up-and-coming artists.

My favourite room in the house is … the bedroom of course. It has everything

I need in it except the fridge.

My favourite childhood memory is … when we used to “cook” in the rubbish dump

while playing “house house”.

My favourite old school track is … Aaliyah’s One in a Million.

My next project is … I’m starting a feeding scheme for children throughout

Joburg in about two months time.
