PSL prosecutor resigns

2011-04-06 14:33

Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor Zola Majavu has resigned from the position and is currently serving out his notice period.

Majavu’s name has become synonymous with the league’s Dispute Resolution Committee, which the prosecutor has overseen for a number of years.

Majavu confirmed his departure and says he actually handed in his resignation in January and completed his three-month notice period at the end of March.

“I had to make sure everything was in order and I had to make sure I leave everything in place. I actually should have left last week Thursday but since there are some cases to attend to, I will have to finish them first and then clear my desk,” said Majavu.

The prosecutor bids farewell to the PSL after almost a decade of service. Majavu will now be concentrating on his own law firm, while the PSL go in search of his replacement. – Sport24
