Kalawa Chikitas Bash.

Saturday, August 9, 7pm

Bassline, Newtown

R150 at computicket.com

In keeping with the Women’s Day celebrations, the amazing ladies from Kalawa JazmeeRecords show us how they do it in the second annual Chikitas Bash at the Bassline.

Winnie Khumalo, Nokwazi, Busiswa Gqulu, DJ Zinhle and Candy (best known for singing on Oskido’s hit track, Tsa Mandebele) will serenade revellers and fill up the dance floor.

There will also be special performances by Berita, the Metro Award winner for best pop album, as well as Mpumi, Lady T, Nkiyase and Miss Pru.

Afro-pop songstress Berita Gugulethu Khumalo, who was born in Zimbabwe and is based in South Africa, is known for her mellow blend of Afro-soul and acoustic guitar. Her soulful voice is sure to charm audiences.

Miss Pru, mentored by DJ Zinhle, is the sassy up-and-comer who will set the decks on fire and get partygoers on the floor.

The ladies will be supported by Kalawa divos Udu, Character and AB Crazy, who you might know from his collaboration on Rands and Nairas with Emmy Gee.

Award-winning producers Uhuru will play out the night.

With a line-up this jam-packed with fresh, amazing talent, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
