Pistorius held at police station

2013-02-14 11:31

Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius is being held at the Boschkop Police Station, east of Pretoria, ahead of his court appearance later today.

Pistorius’s sister and lawyer were earlier seen entering the station, while Pistorius was brought in by a convoy of police vehicles.

Pistorius is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court.

Police have been tight-lipped, but have confirmed that a 26-year-old man was in custody in connection with the death of a 30-year-old woman early this morning.

A family friend confirmed to City Press that the girlfriend was model Reeva Steenkamp.
