Pule Mabe’s fraud case postponed

2014-05-12 14:15

The fraud trial of former ANC Youth League treasurer general Pule Mabe and two other men has been postponed to August.

The trio appeared briefly today in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, where defence lawyers said they needed more time to study documents, the SABC reported.

They said the state had provided the outstanding documents, including the charge sheet, in time for them to prepare properly.

Mabe and the two men have been charged with fraud and corruption. They were arrested after handing themselves over to the police last year.

The matter was postponed to August 7, the public broadcaster reported.
