Rihanna’s new song leaks

2009-11-03 11:51

ANOTHER track from Rihanna’s upcoming Rated R album, a song titled

Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova), has leaked on the internet days before the US

R&B and pop sensation gives her first public interview since the February

altercation involving ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Not nearly as dark as the first single Russian Roulette, Wait Your

Turn (The Wait Is Ova) – which leans more towards a hip-hop feel than pop –

finds the Barbados native tapping into her island drawl.

“I pitch with a grenade / swing away if you’re feeling brave /

there’s so much power in my name... I’m such a fragile lady / you don’t have to

be afraid,” Rihanna twangs over a static thump and handclaps.

Rihanna’s Def Jam Records label did not return phone calls about

whether the song is actually the second single from the album, which is set for

a November 23 release.

She is expected to appear on breakfast TV show Good Morning America

on Thursday and on a special 20/20 episode on Friday, having kept largely silent

about her showdown with Brown.

Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to

probation and community labour.
