Russell Brand won’t be charged for airport drama

2010-11-19 07:13

Los Angeles – City prosecutors have met with British comedian Russell Brand and say they don’t anticipate filing charges against him for a scuffle with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.

The city attorney’s spokesman, Frank Mateljan, says Brand met with prosecutors on Wednesday and it is unlikely he will face any charges.

The actor-comedian was arrested in September at the airport after an alleged attack involving a paparazzo, who placed him under citizen’s arrest.

The incident happened while Brand was travelling with singer Katy Perry, whom he married at a lavish ceremony in India last month.

Mateljan says the photographer, who has not been identified, will meet with a prosecutor today.
